How long does the subscription last?

The subscription plan lasts for a minimum of 12 months. After that, you are transferred to a rolling contract (month to month).

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes! Cancel anytime after the 12 months have passed.

What happens if I cancel the subscription after the minimum 12 months?

If you cancel you do not keep the site.

What happens if I cancel the subscription before the minimum 12 months are over?

If you cancel before the 12 months are over, you owe the full cost of what the site would normally cost (£1300) minus whatever you already paid. Sclavix prioritises long term relationships with our clients.

What's the difference between one-off payment and subscription?

The key difference lies in short-term versus long-term costs. With a subscription, you'll pay manageable monthly instalments, which might add up over time, but come with significant perks-unlimited edits, ongoing customer support, and hosting included. This makes it a great option if you value continuous service and flexibility. On the other hand, the one-time payment covers everything upfront, including design and development, saving you more in the long run. Choosing between the two depends on your goals-if you prefer full service and support with no large upfront costs, the subscription is ideal. But if you want to save more long-term and don't need ongoing services, paying everything at once is the smarter choice.

Do I get to keep the domain if I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you will always own the domain. Please note there is a fixed fee of £30 to transfer the domain to you.

What do you use to take payment and what payment methods do you accept?

We send email invoices via Square that has a link to a secure page for adding payment information. Subscriptions are paid with a credit or debit card and we accept all major credit cards. One-off payments are paid with bank transfers. We do not accept cash payments.

How do you handle late payments?

Every invoice comes with a 7 day grace period to be paid. If an invoice is not paid within 7 days there will be a £15 late fee applied. If you're on a subscription, and there are multiple monthly invoices that are overdue for months and late for months, we can cancel the contract and the client will be responsible for paying the full price of the site. We are generally very flexible and understanding of certain situations and often times offer assistance and help. But if there is no communication or replies to our messages, we have to take certain precautions to make sure we are paid for our time and effort in making the site and not being taken advantage of.

Are there refunds?

When you sign a contract either one-off payment or enroll in a subscription, if we cannot design something you are happy with and you no longer want to move forward, then we will refund whatever you paid to get started. If we do end up moving forward with building the site, there are no refunds after that point. From then on, refunds are at our discretion.

Payment for optional add-ons

The optinal add-ons are paid once and they do not stack onto your monthly subscription. For example, if you want 2 additional pages, you will be invoiced £199.98 for both and your subscription will remaind as it is.

How long does the process take from start to finish?

The process typically takes 3-4 weeks from start to finish. During this time, we handle development, design, quality assurance, performance optimisation, security checks, and on-page SEO. Our thorough approach ensures your website is ready to launch, fully optimised for speed, security, and search engine visibility

Do you use page builders or WordPress?

No, we don't use page builders or WordPress. Every website we create is 100% hand-coded and fully bespoke, tailored specifically to your needs for optimal performance, security, and flexibility.

What are the advantages of custom code over WordPress or other page builders?

We prioritise security, fast load times, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness. Our bespoke websites are easier to customise and free from unnecessary bloat, as we don't rely on plugins for every function. Unlike platforms like WordPress, where constant updates are necessary to prevent security breaches-such as the risk of your site being redirected to other unwanted websites. Our hand-coded sites are inherently more secure since our custom sites don't use databases, there's nothing for hackers to exploit, making them resilient against online threats. With no vulnerabilities to breach, our websites remain secure, eliminating the need for frequent updates and ongoing concerns about potential attacks.

How do we request edits for our site?

Just call or email us. There are no robot menus or unnecessary bureaucracy, so your call or email will get directly to us!

Is SEO part of your packages?

There are two types of SEO optimisation - On-page and Off-page. We focus exclusively on On-page SEO, which covers all elements directly on your website, such as content, load speeds, accessibility, and structure. We don't handle Off-page SEO, which involves external factors like link building and guest posting. With our packages, you'll benefit from On-page SEO features like lightning-fast load times, improved accessibility, optimised meta tags, sitemap generation, and even some content creation. Keep in mind, SEO is a complex process that takes time, and achieving strong results requires ongoing effort and patience.
